Walkin' the track today, from my hood, down to the beach at Katouche Bay...

…here's where I ended up. Not even so much as a single fresh footstep (other than my own) on this gorgeous stretch of sand…

I love Anguilla for more reasons than I care to bore you with right now, but I will mention this one - I can walk from my house down to this spot in about 15 minutes, literally any day of the year…and when I get there, I can swim, snorkel, sunbathe, veg…and never be cold, (nor too hot) and rarely ever be disturbed by another individual, and all the while I'm surrounded by such exemplary beauty in nature…which is crazy to me. I seriously doubt that many other people in this world are nearly this lucky…but believe me when I tell you, that I am extremely appreciative, each and every day - of just how lucky I know that I am…

After running errands early on Tuesday morning, I came back to my little shack, and tasked away until after dark. I don't know why the sudden desire to be so uncharacteristically domestic came over me, but I'm not askin' any questions! Cuz I thoroughly enjoyed being so damned productive - first working in my raised garden beds, and then moving furniture and artwork around, while intermittently doing load after load of laundry. I also made some nice prints of a few of my Anguilla photos - and then framed and hung them, and finally - I dusted off my sewing machine so that I could make beverage coasters, and some cute new throw pillows for my bed and my sofa. By the time my friend arrived later in the night, I must admit - the shack looked the best that it ever has, and I was so excited to be able to enjoy it with someone besides just myself :)

Needless to say though, I barely even thought about taking any pictures that day…so this ^ (I'm afraid) is all that you get…I just wish that I would've realized when I snapped it, that the sewing project in progress on the kitchen floor in the background, was visible in this pic….ah well.

The other day, my artist neighbor brought me an easel to borrow so that I can start drawing again - I thought that it was terribly sweet of him, especially since I hadn't ever mentioned that I was without one here on the island :) 

Two of the young man's cousins happened to be here hangin' out with me when he stopped by, and so I asked the younger of the two girls if I could photograph her eye so that I would have something to draw…and in the process I ended up inadvertently taking a selfie, and capturing miss thang's older cousin - right there in the little girl's iris.
