I spied this delectable ruin, a few months ago while driving home from a short visit to Shepherdstown, W.Va...
Right away I began plotting - a self-portrait shoot that would feature the spectacular setting as the backdrop.
This past Monday, I returned to the old house, with the intention of making it happen, only to discover (while collecting my gear outta the back of my car) - that I'd somehow neglected to bring my Sony Cybershot (the camera with the timer that I use for my selfies)...drats.
I was fuming mad at myself for being such a scatterbrain, but I figured, "Well, I'm here aren't I? And since I did at least have the wherewithal to put my phone in my pocket...I may as well try to make the best of it."
...and thanks to my iPhone, that's precisely what I did…
