"Rural" + "Urbexing" = "Rurexing"...Right?

(All square pics. snapped on 10/06/12 - using an iPhone and Instagram filters)

I took my 13 year old son urbexing with me, this past Saturday...

...I mean, I guess that's what you'd call it - "urbexing"...

...or would you...

Urban Dictionary defines "urbexing" as: "the act of exploring urban areas that are generally off-limits to regular civilians"...

...but what do (and what my son did with me on Saturday) is explore rural areas that are generally off-limits to regular civilians...

...sooooo...

...what would you call that...

"rurbexing"?...

...or...rurexing?

Eh, who knows...anyway, I suppose it doesn't really matter...

...the main thing is...

...my son and I had an absolute blast - demonstrating what "rurexers" (both seasoned, and novice) live, and love to do:

...leave the car by the side of the road...

...and jump out, and stealthily sneak onto interesting properties that are irresistibly enticing...

...and photo-worthy...

...despite the threat of potential danger...(Tha hell did that pit bull come from?! Egads!)

Our favorite place that day, by far - was an unkempt, old farm that heralded 3 spectacular silos...

...two of which literally blew our minds once we climbed inside of 'em through their lowest hatch door openings.

I've ducked into many different silos by now...

...but none seemed so otherworldly, as the two that my son and I were so fortunate to have found.

(All panorama pics. snapped on 10/10/12 - using a Sony Cybershot)

I was personally so captivated by their well-concealed, near mystical beauty...

...that I returned to take more snaps there, yesterday...

...and I'm thinkin' about goin' back today...VIVA RURBEXING!
